Cover Reveal For Implant, a Novel From J. Grace Pennington
Last week, I totally forgot to put out the new blog post I had ready. I can’t blame it on my recent hard drive crisis, since there’s a shiny new SSD in my laptop’s tummy and it is running better than it ever has before. No, dear readers, there is no good excuse for the heinous lapse in activity. It simply slipped my mind that I have a blog.
I appreciate that you guys seem to like me even when I am a social media Scrooge who does dumb things like forgetting to schedule posts. I hope that when I grow up I will be a real blogger and will have more responsibility for such things.
Exciting announcement time. Today my friend J. Grace Pennington, is revealing the cover of her soon-to-be-published novel, Implant, and I’m privileged to be able to share the news with all of you.
(This is a 3D rendering, not an actual picture of the book. You can click here to see a higher-resolution version of the cover.)
Welcome to the world of a universal cure.
Gordon Harding didn’t ask for the life he has. He didn’t ask to be orphaned. He didn’t ask to go through life with cancer. And he certainly didn’t ask to be pulled into a future world without warning–a world where every human being is controlled by means of a medical implant.
And when he learns that he’s the only one who can destroy the base of operations, he’s faced with an impossibly painful choice: either hide and let the world decay under this mysterious futuristic force, or rescue humanity from oppression, knowing that there’s someone out there who is willing to use any means necessary to stop him.
Pennington is a talented writer and gifted storyteller, and I’m really looking forward to reading this book. Drop over to her blog and give her a follow so that you can stay updated and nap a copy of Implant when it comes out!
